What is Sterling Silver?

Sterling Silver is an alloy of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% Copper. Copper naturally gives off a lot of oxygen, which is why you’ll notice that your Sterling Silver oxidizes. But the good news is that you can easily polish the oxidation off with a jewelry polishing cloth to keep your silver looking new. We plate our Sterling Silver with Rhodium to give our pieces an extra layer of shine and durability.

How do I Care for my Sterling Silver Pieces?

Sterling silver is a solid metal and thus requires minimal care. It may darken over time but you can easily polish your pieces back to its original shine. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to gently polish your piece to achieve that mirror finish. We do not recommend any chemical solutions when cleaning your jewelry.
